Our Ratings

If you are confused about our rating system, here is a detailed look.

We currently have a number rating system on Suburbian Eagle. Starting from the lowest rating...
1.-The lowest possible rating. This for films that are the worst of the worst.
2.-The rating just above awful. With this rating, you might expect a film where you get a few laughs or cool action scenes but you might not want to pay to see it in theaters. Wait for the DVD.
3.-The middle spectrum. This rating is for films that are not too good but also not too bad. A entertaining film that you could see one day with your friends.
4.-This rating is reserved for films that are very good. You will not want to miss it so see it in theaters. Some of the films we give it to are films that are near perfection with a few flaws.
5.-This rating is the least given rating. It is reserved for the best of the best, the Oscar worthy films, and the films that every critic says yes to.

**Note-Some of the films we review have already come out on DVD such as limited release films that did not come to our theaters until late after their initial release. But, the ratings we give for them are still the same. For example, if we give a film a rating of 2 that is already out on DVD, we mean you probably should not rent it or rent it on a night when you are just hanging out with friends.
