Let me start off by saying that Toy Story is my fovorite Pixar film and one of my favorite films. It is truly an amazing film. When I heard that Pixar was making a sequel to it, I was reluctant to believe that it would be good since sequels have not always been the best films. I did think, though, that if anyone could make a good sequel that worked, it would be Pixar. They have got so much talent and put everything they've got into their films. And sure enough, Toy Story 2 was a success and my thought of Pixar being the only one to do a sequel that worked was true. Now when I heard that Pixar was making Toy Story 3, I was really doubtful. One sequel that works is one thing but two that work is a stretch and something you don't see nowadays. But I still had the same thought that, if anyone could do it right, it would be Pixar. And sure enough, Pixar made another masterpiece.

So here is the basic plot of Toy Story 3. Set probably 10 years after Toy Story 2, Andy (John Morris) is going off to college. Woody (Tom Hanks) and the gang are wondering what is going to happen to them after numerous failed attempts to get Andy to play with them. Andy has two options: put the toys in the attic, throw them away, or send them to the local daycare, Sunnyside. The toys, which consist of the main ones we know since most have been sold, like the idea of being put into the attic. They will have other toys, games, and a TV. Through a mishap, though, the toys are seen in a bag in the hall (Andy was putting them in the attic) by Andy's mom who then proceeds to put them on the street for the garbage. Woody, was the only one not in the bag because Andy was going to take him to college, goes to save them. They get out and are mad at Andy. They get inside Andy's mom's car and decide it might not be that bad at the daycare since they would get played with. They all go, including Woody who is still reluctant to go since they should be loyal to Andy. When they get there, they realize it is pretty good. The bear in charge, Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear (Ned Beatty), puts them in the little kids room where they are tortured. Not wanting to ruin the rest of the movie, it turns into a prison escape film from the daycare.

The whole movie is truly incredible. Pixar is one of the only companys who know who to bring heart to everyone of their films while also providing a lot of laughs. One of the best parts of the film is when Buzz (Tim Allen) is reset and he starts speaking Spanish and starts to romance Jesse (Joan Cusack). A lot of new characters are brought in too, my favorite being Ken (Michael Keaton) who falls in love with Barbie and takes her to his dream house ad models clothes. When she wants information from him, she rips his clothes while he tell sher they are vintage. It is all so funny which is on of the things I have always loved about these movies. What would get a toy to talk? Rip apart Ken's vintage clothes from a 1969 Ken doll.

The film, as a whole, works so well. The whole prison escape story is also very fun to watch play out as it reminds me of The Great Escape. There are trucks patroling the playground, when a toy misbehaves they are thrown into the pit or "sandbox", and a cymal banging monkey watching from a control room.

If you have ever seen the other Toy Story movies, then you will be touched if you see this one. I myself was in tears at the end when I had to say goodbye to the characters I have known for many years. It is tear-jerking, heartfelt, and a momentous movie. It is the perfect end to a perfect trilogy.
